On the 15th July ESK celebrated our Gold Coast event and Launch Party of our Gentle Glow PHA serum.
It was an absolute cracker of an event. At the super cool Glass House venue at The Island in Surfers Paradise, attenders were treated to a lavender themed high glamour event. We had purple cocktails with purple glitter, amazing décor and a goodie bag worth over $400.
TV personality, Shelly Horton introduced Daniel and I and we shared some rarely shared stories about how we started ESK Skincare, a few of the bumps we encountered along the way- and how we managed to avoid wavering on our red line principles of Evidence, Efficacy and Integrity.
And we introduced the product of the hour, Gentle Glow PHA serum. I have been following the increasing evidence around PHAs and we finally pressed the Go button on it this year when the need and the evidence combined to get us to the place where we felt confident in its ability to deliver.
So let me tell you about Gentle Glow PHA serum. Like Alpha Hydroxy Acids or AHAs, polyhydroxy acids or PHAs are exfoliators, which means they break the bonds between superficial dead skin cells allowing them to slough off revealing fresher newer skin underneath. Like AHAs they do so much more. Studies have shown that they have antioxidant and moisturising properties. But they also improve the skin barrier function, help reduce pigmentation, and help build collagen by inhibiting the enzymes that break it down. Plus they combat acne.
But where they differ from AHAs is that they are super gentle and can be used in the most sensitive of skin types including rosacea skin.
