Whether you’re looking to combat wrinkles, dull skin, redness, acne, irritation or pigmentation, avoiding excess exposure to the sun’s UV rays is essential.
When looking for a sunscreen, look for a Broad-Spectrum sunscreen which protects against Both UVB (for burning) and UVA (for Aging) rays. Many dermatologists recommend physical sunscreens over chemical sunscreens. With physical sunscreens, ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide reflect and scatter UV radiation rather than absorbing them as chemical sunscreens do.
Generally considered safer and better than chemical sunscreens, they're particularly recommended for sensitive skins. Of the two, zinc oxide offers better UVA protection than titanium dioxide. The problem with most zinc-based sunscreens is that they can give you a ghostly appearance.
