Vitamin C: L-Ascorbic Acid
An anti-oxidant, which assists in repair of and protection from sun induced damage and premature aging(1). It reduces wrinkles(2), fine lines, skin roughness and pigmentation(3). L-Ascorbic acid is naturally unstable and must be formulated in an oil base in order to delay oxidisation. Stabilised forms of Vitamin C are often used for convenience, however they have weak or no evidence(4).

Vitamin E: Tocopherol
The primary evidence for Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is when used in combination with Vitamin C. The combination is synergistic in protection from the sun’s UV radiation1
