Retinal
Also known as Vitamin A, Retinal is a next-generation retinoid used in skincare to help refine skin texture and improve the appearance of uneven tone and visible signs of ageing. It’s well tolerated and suitable for most skin types, including those that find traditional retinoids too harsh.
Lactobionic Acid
Lactobionic Acid is a Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) that works as a gentle exfoliant and humectant. It helps to smooth skin texture and improve the appearance of dullness without the irritation often associated with stronger acids. PHAs like Lactobionic Acid also attract moisture, supporting hydrated and visibly refreshed skin.
Gluconolactone
Gluconolactone is a Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) with gentle exfoliating and hydrating properties. It helps to remove dead skin cells from the skin’s surface, supporting a smoother and more refined appearance without the irritation often linked to stronger acids.
Ceramides

For use as a gentle and calming cleanser: Wet Face with warm water, apply 2-3 pumps of cleanser to fingertips and gently massage on face and neck. Rinse thoroughly with warm water For use as a makeup remover: Apply to a cotton swab and gently wipe makeup off. Follow makeup removal with use of Hydroxy Cleanser

Yes, Retinal is considered the most gentle and effective form of Vitamin A, making it better tolerated than traditional retinol or prescription retinoids, including for those with sensitive or rosacea-prone skin. However, if your skin is particularly reactive or you are new to Vitamin A, it's advisable to introduce it slowly, starting every second or third night before building to nightly use. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
This kit is for people dealing with two frustrating skin issues at the same time: persistent pigmentation (think post-inflammatory dark spots, sun damage, or melasma) and rosacea-prone or reactive skin. Most pigmentation-targeting regimes use ingredients that are too aggressive for sensitive, redness-prone skin. This kit is designed so you don't have to choose between the two.
The kit contains 5 products: Calming Cleanse, Enlighten Gold, Repair+, Gentle Glow and Ultimate A Gold. Together they cover all 5 steps of a daily routine: cleanse, treat, protect (AM), and repair (PM).
Zinc Shade has been formulated specifically to avoid this. The result is a lightweight, matte-finish day cream that sits well under makeup.
Both are forms of Vitamin A, but Retinol has to convert into Retinal before your skin can actually use it. Retinal skips that step, meaning faster results and better tolerability. Less irritation, more efficiency.
