Description

About microneedles
Technological advances have allowed acne busting actives to be incorporated into dissolving microneedles. These tiny needles can painlessly penetrate the skin barrier where they create a micro-wound. This sounds terrible but when the skin starts to heal it stimulates a cascade of chemical reactions that include growth factors to stimulate new skin cells along with new collagen and elastin to rejuvenate the face.
Secondly, the micro needles allow skincare actives to get past the skin barrier (or stratum corneum) to deliver critical ingredients into the deeper epidermis and dermis.
Although they are fairly new to the skincare game, dissolving anti-aging microneedle patches have been successfully used to reduce fine lines and crows feet.
About Vitamin A
Vitamin A is the ingredient with the strongest anti-aging evidence and Retinal is the most effective and least irritating form of Vitamin A, which is why we use it in both Ultimate A Gold & Ageless Microneedle Patches It promotes collagen growth, increases skin elasticity and in combination with hydroxy acids, clears acne effectively and without irritation. Vitamin B3 improves the skin barrier function and promotes an even skin tone, reducing sun spots and uneven pigmentation.*
Evidence
Retinal
Also known as Vitamin A, Retinal is a next-generation retinoid used in skincare to help refine skin texture and improve the appearance of uneven tone and visible signs of ageing. It’s well tolerated and suitable for most skin types, including those that find traditional retinoids too harsh.
4-n-butylresorcinol
4-n-Butylresorcinol helps improve the appearance of pigmentation and supports an even-looking skin tone.
Niacinamide
Also known as Vitamin B3. Niacinamide is a well-studied ingredient that helps maintain a healthy skin barrier and supports an even-looking skin tone. It is well tolerated and suitable for all skin types, making it a versatile addition to many skincare formulations.
Dissolving Microneedles
Dissolving microneedles are designed to deliver skincare ingredients into the skin in a precise and controlled way. Since 2016, research into dissolving microneedles has advanced, and they are now commonly used in skincare to support the absorption of active ingredients and improve the appearance of skin texture and smoothness.
Emerging evidence
Hyaluronic Acid
The optimum size of Hyaluronic Acid for skincare is still a topic of research. Emerging evidence suggests that medium-size HA can support skin hydration and help improve the appearance of skin smoothness and plumpness.
Lactobionic Acid
Lactobionic Acid is a Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) that works as a gentle exfoliant and humectant. It helps to smooth skin texture and improve the appearance of dullness without the irritation often associated with stronger acids. PHAs like Lactobionic Acid also attract moisture, supporting hydrated and visibly refreshed skin.
Ferulic Acid
Ferulic acid’s emerging evidence suggests it can improve the effectiveness of Vitamin C and help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Ceramides
Emerging evidence suggests that smaller ceramides support the skin’s surface and help maintain hydration and the appearance of a healthy skin barrier.
Caffeine
Caffeine is emerging as a promising addition to anti-aging skincare products. Dissolving microneedles provide a viable method for delivery.
Green Tea
Green Tea Extract is a plant-based antioxidant that supports the skin’s surface and helps maintain an even-looking tone and smoother texture.
Copper Peptide
Some studies for copper peptides in skincare demonstrated that they improve the appearance of skin elasticity and firmness, as well as reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage and hyperpigmentation.
Resveratrol
Resveratrol is a plant-derived antioxidant that helps support an even-looking skin tone and improves the appearance of skin texture and smoothness.
Usage
Ultimate A Gold
Use only at night. Apply 1 – 2 pumps to the fingertips and apply to the face after cleansing as the final step in your night-time routine. Also for use on décolletage, back of hands and forearms.
Do not use if pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive.
Ageless Microneedle patches
Step 1:
For use at night on clean skin or even better, over skincare. Ensure that skin is dry.
Step 2:
Remove patch from plastic packing. Remove the white protective strip surrounding the patch. Make sure not to touch the needles
Step 3:
Apply patch to the desired area. Smooth patch over the skin, applying gentle pressure. A light prickling/ scratching sensation will be felt.
Repeat until the prickling sensation is no longer felt.
Step 4:
Leave the patch on for at least 20 minutes or (preferably) overnight.
Things to note:
It is normal for a residue to remain after removing the patch (this is excess hyaluronic acid).
Recommended minimum usage frequency: 2 times weekly.

"I have sensitive, dry, rosacea skin but also prone to break outs especially around my chin and lips. Generally most skin care makes my skin flare up, resulting in redness and sensitivity.
